The 1st Annual in-person SINDOFO Consortium Meeting took place in CERMEL (Lambaréné, Gabon) from 20th – 22nd September 2022, back-to-back with the PAMAfrica consortium.

Day 1 of the meeting was dedicated to PAMAfrica, with participation of PAMAfrica partners only.

Day 2 was a PAMAfrica and SINDOFO joint day, with participation of both PAMAfrica and SINDOFO partners, as well as the funder, EDCTP. Interactive discussions were conducted around the theme ‘The future of capacity building, innovative solutions for research capacity development in collaborative projects’.

On day 3, members of SINDOFO consortium shared updates on the progress and status of the work packages and discussed how to improve multinational partnerships to face the challenges of malaria research.

After fruitful brainstorms, the partners of the consortium are moving forward to implement the discussed ideas and tasks.
